A Special Visit To Australian Comrades At Kranji War Memorial

In Deep Thought

Viewing The Cemetery Register Book

Sharing Their Thoughts

A Silence Respect

A Minute Silence For Those Who Had Sacrficed

Knowing The History

1300hrs Day 4, Just as the camp ended, Scouts from Western Australia and Singapore made a stopover at Singapore's state cemetery (Kranji War Memorial) to pay our respects to our Australian and other comrades who had helped Singapore fought the Second World War. The Scouts paid their respect with a minute of silence. The scenic view of seeing some 4500 graves standing in neat rows, crafting on the stone of each soldier's name and knowing some 24000 other whose names were inscribed walls, sank our hearts. Tears flowed and a sense of sadness shadowed on each and everyone's faces.
