Eleven (11) WA Scouts led by Deputy Chief Commissioner (WA Scouts), Mrs Sheridan Bunney and Branch Scout Commissioner, Mr Vernon Casey will embark an inaugural visit to Singapore from 3-10 July 2009, on an invitation of Singapore Scouts and host units namely, Toa Payoh Eagles Scout Group (Open), Beatty Beaver Scout Group and 02 Raffles Scout Group.
Camp Kawanee 1 (Singapore) meaning Friendship in Malay will provide a new platform for both countries to further establish and develop stronger relationship, scouting skills and cultural exchanges. The highlight will be a joint collaboration to organise, plan and execute a Campfire together that will see an invitation of 150 Cubs and Scouts for a night of acting, songs and fun to enjoy the spirit of Scouting. Camp Kawanee ends on 6 July 2009.

Camp Kawanee 1 - WA Scouts Visit To Singapore 2009
Hi Sheridan Bunney here. Myself, Vern and our selected Scouts are getting very excited about our trip to Singapore. We look forward to renewing friendships made when Singapore came to Perth and making new friends. I love the name Kawanee meaning friendship. I am sure we can teach you all some new Campfire Songs from Australia and hope to learn some form you. I look forward to our experience and some warm weather.
